Actress Son Ye Jin, amid growing interest in her 4-year-old son, has openly shared her honest thoughts on the situation of her son being secretly photographed and the importance of protecting his privacy.

On September 29th, Son Ye Jin spoke about her son during an interview related to the Netflix series The Scandal.

Son Ye Jin married actor Hyun Bin in 2022, and they have a 4-year-old son. Recently, photos and reports of the couple on a family vacation in places like Okinawa, Japan, with their son circulated widely online, attracting public attention.

One netizen who claimed to have actually seen the son described the moment, saying, “The child was so pretty, like AI-generated, that I told my wife, ‘That baby is really beautiful,’” drawing interest to the child’s appearance.

Adding to this, Son Ye Jin had recently boasted during a JTBC show Please Take Care of My Refrigerator that “If he looks like this, it’d be hard not to become an actor,” which further fueled interest.

Regarding this, Son Ye Jin expressed caution in the interview about her son being secretly photographed.

She said, “Many people take secret photos. We go and ask them to delete them.” She added, “My husband and I can’t help it, but it makes us sensitive when our child’s face is exposed. Later, he might be out alone without us, so we have to be careful about that.”

Son Ye Jin also candidly addressed her remarks about her son’s appearance on Please Take Care of My Refrigerator. She said, “I immediately regretted it. When what I said on a variety show became printed words, it felt different in reality.” She added, “I thought it might come across as unpleasant, so I corrected myself.”

Nonetheless, Son Ye Jin revealed that if her son grows up to choose an acting career like her and Hyun Bin, she would want to support him, drawing attention.
