Top Actor Admits He Couldn’t Bring Himself To Watch Actress Wife’s Steamy 19+ Scene

For most actors, romantic scenes are just another part of the job. But when the person on screen is your own spouse, Jin Seon Kyu admits it is not quite that simple.

The actor appeared on the June 8 broadcast of SBS‘s Uh, But Like, Seriously!, where he opened up about his marriage to actress Park Bo Kyung.

During the episode, Jin Seon Kyu revealed that he and Park Bo Kyung have been married for 16 years. “We went to Korea National University of Arts together,” he shared, “and after graduating, we grew close while performing together in a theater company.”

Jin Seon Kyu then shared that Park Bo Kyung had to put her acting career on hold earlier in their marriage. Despite her long hiatus, Park Bo Kyung has since received praise for her performances in multiple projects. Jin Seon Kyu shared that seeing his wife recognized as an actress made him feel both proud and emotional.

After our child was born, I became the main breadwinner doing theater, and my wife took care of our child and stopped acting for 8 years. She gave up her dream to raise our child…

…So when my wife received praise for Little Women, I had this indescribable feeling. I was so happy for her.

Still, there is one part of her career that he admitted he has trouble watching:

One of her works I deliberately didn’t watch because of the mature scenes. There was a 19+ scene in a project called Queen Woo. When I heard there was a scene like that, I just chose not to watch it. It felt a little weird for me to watch…

The couple got married in October 2010 and have a daughter and a son together.
