Popular Japanese actor Kentaro Sakaguchi has announced his surprise marriage. On September 6, Sakaguchi personally announced through his paid fan club that he had married a non-celebrity woman whom he had been dating. His agency subsequently confirmed the marriage to Japanese media.

“This is a personal matter, but I have married the non-celebrity woman I have been dating.”

The actor also reassured fans that marriage would not change his commitment to his career.

“As an actor, I hope to continue working even harder from here on.”

Sakaguchi has chosen to keep his new wife out of the public eye. Beyond describing her as a non-celebrity, he did not disclose her name, age, how long they have been together, or other details about her identity. The sudden announcement has attracted particular attention due to rumors about his dating life previously.

In 2025, Japanese outlet Shukan Bunshun reported that Sakaguchi had been living with a stylist, described as three years his senior, at an upscale apartment in Tokyo. It is unknown if this is the woman he is marrying.
