Recently, Nayeon made a guest appearance at singer Charlie Puth’s concert in South Korea and sang a duet cover of “We Don’t Talk Anymore” with him.

While fans enjoyed her vocals and stage presence, the idol faced significant backlash online, given Puth’s controversial track record. In particular, the singer-songwriter has been accused of misbehaving with female artists in the past by the likes of Jade Thirwall of Little Mix and Bella Thorne. In addition, Puth has also been labeled a Zionist over his social media activity following the October 7 attacks.

Fans have taken to social media to voice their disappointment at this on-stage collaboration, with many hoping that this would be the end of any and all association between Puth and TWICE.

Nayeon also received criticism for her vocals during the performance, prompting some to even draw comparisons with Selena Gomez, the original singer on the track.
