Former TREASURE member Bang Yedam is going viral thanks to his new visuals.

A new photo of the idol-turned-independent artist has been making rounds online, sparking major shock over his dramatically transformed look.

Gone is the baby-faced idol fans knew from his YG days…

In his place stands a visibly more mature Yedam, sporting a full, fluffy beard and mustache paired with longer hair.

Reactions ranged from sheer disbelief to comparisons to a catfish, while others argued the new look wasn’t exactly a downgrade.

It’s not like shaving would suddenly reveal a handsome guy hiding under that beard, so I think growing it out isn’t a bad choice.

Yedam himself has seemingly taken the chaos in stride, reportedly saying he appreciates the reactions, either way — even the negative ones — because they’re all helping to push his latest music.

Yedam’s visual and musical transformation is a far cry from where he started. After seven years of training at YG Entertainment, he debuted with TREASURE in 2020 before departing in late 2022, citing a desire to pursue solo activities and producing on his own terms.
