Beloved Actress Says She’s Single Not By Choice But Because She “Can’t” Get Married

In the latest episode of SBS‘s Uh, But Like, Seriously!, actress Oh Yeon Seo appeared as a guest alongside comedian Kim Gyu Won.

During the episode, Lee Su Ji brought up the reason Oh Yeon Seo decided to appear on the show, saying, “I heard Yeon Seo came because of Tak Jae Hoon.” Oh Yeon Seo then revealed, “My mom’s ideal type is Tak Jae Hoon. She likes him because he’s so handsome, funny, and youthful,” drawing laughter from the cast.

Later, Lee Sang Min asked Oh Yeon Seo why she still lives with her parents. The actress replied simply, “It’s convenient, living together.” When Lee Su Ji then asked whether her parents told her to get married, Oh Yeon Seo gave a brutally honest answer. “They’ve given up on that, too,” she said. She then added, “For me, it’s that I can’t get married. It’s not that I won’t.”

When Lee Sang Min asked why she felt that way, Oh Yeon Seo explained that her lifestyle does not exactly make dating easy.

First of all, I really like staying at home, and I don’t have opportunities to meet anyone. There’s nowhere for me to be introduced to people.

The actress was also asked about her ideal type. Oh Yeon Seo said she likes someone with “a broad heart, kindness, and a fun personality.”

Between loving life at home, having nowhere to meet anyone, and even her parents apparently waving the white flag, Oh Yeon Seo made one thing clear: she is not exactly dodging marriage. Marriage just has not found its way to her couch yet!
