BTS Jungkook’s recent choice of swimming attire has sparked fierce speculation and criticism around the star’s dating rumors.

Tourists in Munich, Germany, got an unexpected celebrity sighting this week when J-Hope, V, and Jungkook all made an appearance at a popular swimming spot.

But while J-Hope and V kept things breezy in a tank top and T-shirt, Jungkook stood out among the tourists in bikinis and swim shorts. Despite local highs climbing past 80 degrees Fahrenheit this week, the star was spotted wearing long pants and a full jacket.

Photos and clips from the members’ outing spread quickly online, and fans wasted no time slamming Jungkook’s clothing choice, alleging that he was wearing the jacket to cover his “couple tattoo” with aespa’s Winter.

Speculation about the pair’s reported matching tattoos has been circulating since December last year, when fans claimed (amid existing dating rumors) that both idols had tattoos of three cartoon dog faces on their arms.

Since then, Jungkook and Winter have repeatedly been accused of covering the tattoos up in public. Other fans, meanwhile, have argued that there’s no proof the pair even have matching tattoos at all.

While many say Jungkook’s jacket was an obvious attempt to keep his tattoo hidden this week, others have come to the BTS member’s defense, suggesting he never intended to soak up the sun at the river to begin with. According to some fans and tourists who spotted the group, Jungkook only visited his fellow members for a few minutes before leaving, while J-Hope and V stuck around to enjoy the water.
