Kim Sejeong’s Luxury Penthouse Sparks A Row

Idol-actress Kim Sejeong’s recent real estate purchase has become a hot topic, owing to the mystery around its actual market value.

Recently, JTBC published an exclusive report mentioning that Sejeong had acquired a new home, a luxury penthouse in the Gwangjin-gu area of Seoul. The property was reported to be valued at more than ₩3.00 billion KRW (about $2.03 million USD), sparking intrigue.

As the news started making rounds, BH Entertainment, Sejeong’s agency, confirmed the purchase but denied that the house was worth 3 billion.

The agency, however, didn’t disclose the specific details about the purchase, including the actual price and whether Sejeong would move into the house anytime soon.

The uncertainty of the penthouse’s market price aside, Sejeong’s success has been received with warm enthusiasm by netizens, given her humble background and relentless hard work. After making a successful idol debut with I.O.I a decade ago, she has worn many hats, including those of a soloist, a musical actress, and a K-Drama star. After successfully celebrating I.O.I’s tenth debut anniversary with a group comeback, Sejeong will return to the small screen with the upcoming K-Drama The High School Queen Consort (literal translation of the Korean working title).
