Woman Allegedly Tries To Kill Her Ex With The Most Unlikely Weapon

A 38-year-old woman has been taken into custody after allegedly confronting her former husband with two weapons in a parking area.

The suspect, who lives in Hamamatsu, Japan, was arrested in Kosai on suspicion of attempted murder involving her 32-year-old ex-husband. Police say the confrontation happened shortly after 1 p.m. on August 14.

The situation came to the attention of authorities after a passerby spotted the pair involved in a heated argument and notified a nearby officer. When police arrived, they reportedly found the woman in possession of a Japanese sword as well as a kitchen knife.

Although she admitted having the weapons, the woman disputed the allegation that she intended to kill her former husband. She told investigators that her goal was to frighten him rather than cause his death.
