Popular TV Star Under Fire For Asking Rude Question To An Actor

In a recent variety show, actor Ahn Jae Hyun was caught off guard after Choo Sung Hoon suddenly asked about his marital status.

While eating, Choo Sung Hoon looked for a wet wipe, which Ahn Jae Hyun noticed and gave him one from his own bag.

Shocked at his thoughtful gesture, Choo asked, “Are you married?”  The unexpected question, however, caused the atmosphere to freeze up instantly.

Taken aback, Ahn changed the subject quickly. Noticing this, Kim Jong Kook stated, “Jae Hyun, it’s ok. He just doesn’t know; that’s why.”

Still unable to grasp the situation, Choo asked, “Why?” In response, Ahn eventually said, “I’ve been married before.”

Choo Sung Hoon expressed regret, stating, “There’s a lot I don’t know.” Ahn Jae Hyun reassured him and responded, “This is just another way for us to get to know each other. It’s my fault; I didn’t introduce myself.”

However, netizens criticized Choo for not doing prior research about the people he would be working with.

• “Can people just leave Ahn Jae Hyun alone? Divorce isn’t some huge flaw.”
• “Ahn Jae Hyun suffered from Goo Hye Sun’s pathological lying and morbid jealousy. Good thing he parted ways with her.”
• “Choo Sung Hoon has no manners. If you’re going to appear on a show, the least you can do is do some research on the people you will be broadcasting with beforehand. He has no basic manners or respect.”

Meanwhile, Ahn Jae Hyun married Goo Hye Sun in 2016 and divorced in 2020.
