K-Pop Girl Group Member Divulges Her Surprising Eating Habits

A girl group member spoke in detail about her long-standing practice when it comes to eating and dieting.

On October 5th, a video titled “Living two months eating only in the car…” was uploaded to YouTube.

In the video, Davichi‘s Kang Minkyung and Lee Haeri are shown handling schedules such as university festivals and various corporate events while having their meals inside the car.

At that time, Kang Minkyung took some time to answer fans’ questions. When one fan asked, “Do you eat one meal a day?” Kang Minkyung replied, “Usually one meal a day,” but clarified, “I don’t really count desserts or lattes in the morning as meals. I properly sit down to eat just once a day.”

She continued, “I definitely have a latte or something like that in the morning. I also enjoy sweets after meals,” explaining, “It’s not that I’m snacking constantly — I’m just too busy to have two or three meals a day.”

However, things are different when she is traveling. Kang Minkyung said, “Travel is basically time to eat,” and added, “I have meals and desserts up to seven times a day. But when I’m in Korea, it’s about one and a half meals a day.”

Kang Minkyung is known to be 167.7 cm tall and weigh 52 kg according to her profile. She debuted as a member of Davichi in 2008. In 2018, she launched her YouTube channel and has been regularly uploading daily videos covering body and skincare secrets, exercise, cooking, business, and more.

In 2019, she founded her own fashion brand. Starting with just three employees, the company now has over 20 staff. In 2024, she expanded into the cosmetics brand business as well, working as both a singer and a brand planner and operator.
