K-Pop Group’s Tearful 1st Win Years After Debut Leaves Fans Emotional

Many groups attended the weekly music show on the September 9 episode of Show Champion and performed their recent comebacks. The five nominees for the episode were 82MAJOR‘s “Like Fire”, BIGBANG‘s “BiiiG”, TUNEXX‘s “BLUE MODE”, MONSTA X‘s “MAGIC”, Taemin‘s “FLOAT.”

82MAJOR took home the win for “Like A Fire,” their first-ever win since their debut nearly three years ago.

Leader Seongil gave the first part of the speech, thanking staff, their company and fans, among many others. Seongmo spoke next, reflecting on his time as an MC for Show Champion and thanking fans for helping him fulfill his wish of returning to get a trophy himself.

The members also celebrated during their first encore, thanking fans again and doing a full bow after their performance.

Fans were especially thrilled for the group’s first win, sharing their own emotional reactions.
