On one hand, many celebrated the update, due in part to the various controversies Mark was involved in following his departure.

On the other hand, some pointed to Doyoung’s following only containing members of NCT 127 and his older brother, actor Kim Gong Myung. Many felt that Doyoung already shared his thoughts on the situation in the immediate aftermath of Mark’s departure and that this update did not make a difference.

people are getting weird about the doyoung mark unfollow thing:
1. doyoung has publicly stated he only wanted to follow 127 members starting from 2023 and on, which mark isn’t
2. that doesn’t mean they have bad blood cause their families are tight knit & went to vacay together pic.twitter.com/G9zgfLivZQ

i love doyoung cus he has always been so vocal about how much he values mark in his life and a mere ig unfollow will never change that 🩵

Doyoung just wants to follow the members and his brother and we all know that. Mark fans and 127zens stop speculating shit and mind your own FUCKKKKKing business
